| There's Nothing Wrong With Needing Someone To Show You How To Make Something. I Know i Need The Help!!! There Are Really Only Two Ways To Learn To Cook And That Is To Just Teach Yourself By Experimenting Or Have Someone Show You. I Think The Latter Is More Effective If You Plan On Eating Anything You Make Anytime Soon. Not Everyone Just Knows How To Cook, Anything I Know How To Cook I Learned From My Mom. Someday I Will Ask Her To Teach Me How To Make Menudo Too ( Since Hers Is The Best), But Not Now, Because She Can Just Make It For Us! Her Empanada Recipe Is Also The Best, But Dont Even Try Getting The Recipe From Her!!!! She Seems To Think Its An Ancient Chinese Secret That She Cant Share! I Guess Will Just Have To Keep Asking Her To Make Them For Us. I Want A Dozen Right Now! | |

| yea, i was thinking if everyone wanted to try their own batch..and we could bring the kind that we like..(we could add the meat that we like) but i guess that would break another tradition of getting together and making tamales...i guess we can talk about the tamales on Sat when we have the meeting...i was even going to practice on making some tamales this weekend, but i guess i'll do it next weekend..i want to get the tamales perfect like mom & dad's. Our tamales are good ladies, but we need them to be a little juicier...and believe me mom & dad cared when they made the tamales, not like us when we get tired and say forget it, they wanted them to be good for everyone...they argued all of the time when they were making them...I love them so much....sorry but this time of the year makes me think of them the most... | |

| I know what you mean....it's hard not to think about them. We need to try and make the tamales this year again. Last year you had to leave us because Chilito was sick, so we were left there & Dad, so I was lost. | |
